February 8, 2011
The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) has
announced that Tiki Barber, former New York Giant running back and
community advocate, will deliver the keynote presentation at its 2011
Annual Conference & Expo. The event, which will celebrate NJAA’s
25th Anniversary and accommodate 200 exhibitor companies and over 1,300
professionals, will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center from
May 23 – 25.
Tiki Barber will present "Play is Fundamental: How
Recreation Brings Individuals, Families, and Communities Together" on
Tuesday, May 24, right before the expo floor opens.
After racking
up over fifteen New York Giant records, Barber retired from the NFL at
the end of the 2006 NFL postseason. On February 13, 2007, he was
formally introduced as a correspondent for NBC's The Today Show and
Football Night in America/Sunday Night Football.[1] Barber' co-authored
two books: his autobiography, Tiki: My Life and the Game Beyond with Gil
Reavill and Tiki Barber's Pure Hard Workout, which reveals Barber's
intensive lifting program, with his trainer, Joe Carini. Barber is an
active community advocate who received the Spirit of Hope Award at the
12th annual "Friends for Life" Fall Gala in 2008, which supports
multiple myeloma research.
Over the course of three days,
conference attendees will choose several educational sessions to attend
from an extensive list of industry related learning opportunities. In
addition to the educational sessions, attendees will explore the expo
floor and attend various networking events including the “Anniversary
Party” which will be held at One Atlantic at the Pier at Caesars.
The
NJAA Annual Conference and Expo is attended by apartment professionals
who own and/or manage more than 200,000 apartments. Each year,
exhibitors present the latest technology, products and services,
providing a means of generating new revenue and reducing costs.
