Seeking experienced property management professional to take over for a Manager who will be relocating elsewhere.

Property management experience a must, Section 8 experience helpful.

Should have good multitasking and customer service skills, but also strict attention to detail and some analytical "problem solving" type of skills. Understanding, overseeing, and ensuring strict Compliance with all regulations in the affordable housing world is of the utmost importance in this position. That means learning the exact file requirements and maintaining an orderly, organized process for ensuring files are complete. It cannot be emphasized enough how big a part of the job the regulatory and financial portion is at this property. We strive for full occupancy and minimized downtime on turnovers so developing a trusting rapport with maintenance staff is going to be an essential ingredient for success. Our work is done, primarily, in house, and the property is tightly managed.

Should understand and be curious about all facets of apartment building operations, proactively monitoring the grounds and halls, the people and staff within. Demonstrated history of having the skills, maturity, education and professionalism necessary to run things autonomously and deliver results on deadline.

This is not a work-from-home type of position, or one in which you could live more than 60 minutes drive from the property -- the Manager needs to be on site, to handle property needs and emergencies in person and who can closely monitor, manage and schedule staff so that all people at the property are working in alignment to the goals of the property and owner.
