Help Fight Hunger in Our Communities
A small act of generosity can make a meaningful difference for a neighbor in need. NJAA encourages members, their apartment communities, and their businesses to support Move For Hunger, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting hunger.
Through its multifamily program, Move For Hunger makes it easy for residents to donate unopened, nonperishable food when they move. Those donations are collected and delivered to local food banks, helping turn food that might otherwise go to waste into meals for people facing food insecurity.
There are several ways to get involved:

Encourage residents to donate unopened, nonperishable food when moving.

Help Bring Holiday Joy to a Family in Need
Each year, NJAA members, their communities, and their businesses come together to support Volunteers of America Delaware Valley’s Adopt A Family program, helping brighten the holidays for families facing financial hardship.
For families struggling to afford everyday essentials, holiday gifts can feel out of reach. Through Adopt A Family, you can help children experience the excitement of opening a gift and give parents the comfort of knowing their family is supported.
There are several ways to make a difference:
